Hailing from Birmingham, UK, singer-songwriter Jessica Sweetman cut her teeth performing covers in smoky jazz bars at barely 15-years-old. She then moved to London at 19, making the cigar clubs of Soho her stage, but after performing night after night she found herself increasingly burnt out and ready for her next adventure.
So, Jessica jetted off to the US and has never looked back. Since then, Jessica has embarked on a crazy journey grappling with the perils of the music industry. From working with the likes of Hozier, Keane and Paul Oakenfold, to opening for Van Morrison, signing her first record deal and secretly sleeping inside the BMG Nashville offices while writing her debut album.
It hasn’t been an easy road for Jessica – but one that has seen her evolve and grow from strength to strength, driven by her determination and love for creating music. Now having fully emerged into her true self, Jessica Sweetman is ready to reclaim her identity as an artist and tell her story on her own terms.
